Say hello to EL:IN!
EL:IN is a real-time meter that continuously reads your electricity consumption from your electricity meter and transmits it to Härryda Energi's app.
Track your energy flow in near real-time
In the Härryda Energi app, you can easily monitor the incoming and outgoing electricity in your household. This gives you better opportunities to control and optimize your electricity costs.
To use our real-time meter EL:IN, you will need the following:
- Be a customer of Härryda Energi*
- Have access to an electricity meter for your home
- WiFi coverage where you place your EL:IN (2.4Ghz)
- Have an electricity meter with a HAN port
*electricity grid and/or electricity trading customer
Which port does your electricity meter have?
Check which port your electricity meter has – RJ12 or RJ45. If you have an RJ12 port, you should buy EL:IN RJ12. If you have an RJ45 port, you should buy EL:IN RJ45.
If you have neither, contact your electricity grid company and see if you can switch to an RJ12 or RJ45 port to be able to use EL:IN.
Are you unsure which port you have? Contact your electricity grid company.
FAQ
Which EL:IN should I choose?
EL:IN RJ12 and EL:IN RJ45 are both real-time meters and look similar, but the difference is the connector which must match the output on your electricity meter. If your electricity meter has an RJ12 output, you choose EL:IN RJ12; if it has an RJ45 output, you choose EL:IN RJ45.
Are you unsure about which output and model your electricity meter has? Contact Härryda Energi customer service.

How do I activate the port on my smart meter?
For EL:IN to be able to receive data from your electricity meter, the port needs to be activated. The easiest way to activate it is usually to contact your electricity grid company.
Remember that your electricity grid provider and electricity supplier are not necessarily the same company.
If Härryda Energi is your electricity grid company, you can open the HAN port by logging in to Mina Sidor and clicking "I wish to order activation of the HAN port" under the "Contact Us" menu option.
How do I know if my electricity meter has an RJ12 port?
The available port varies among different electricity meter manufacturers. There are three common versions:
RJ12 (also called P1) - RJ12 is used, among other things, for landline phones and is slightly smaller than an internet cable. You can easily connect EL:IN to your RJ12 port with the included cable.
RJ45 - The RJ45 port is slightly larger than RJ12 and fits a standard internet cable. Therefore, there is an EL:IN specifically designed for those with this electricity meter, which we call EL:IN RJ45.
Kamstrup Omnipower - Electricity meters of the Kamstrup Omnipower model do not have a port for either RJ12 or RJ45. EL:IN RJ12 and EL:IN RJ45 unfortunately do not support Kamstrup Omnipower.
How do I use EL:IN if my electricity meter is a Kamstrup Omnipower model?
The Kamstrup Omnipower lacks an RJ12 and RJ45 port. If you have already purchased a HAN-P1 module from Kamstrup, it is possible to connect the EL:IN RJ12, however, external USB power is required to operate the device.
How do I install EL:IN?

How do I reset my EL:IN?
If the WiFi network that EL:IN is connected to changes settings, the device needs to be reconfigured. Press and hold the reset button for about 5 seconds. This will make EL:IN ready to be configured through the app again.
I already have load balancing and use the RJ45 port. Does that mean I can't use EL:IN?
Yes, it still works! There are so-called "splitters" on the market, similar to a power strip for RJ45 connectors. This allows you to connect both your load balancer and an EL:IN RJ45 simultaneously.
I'm already using RJ12 for load balancing, so can't I use EL:IN?
Yes, it still works. There are so-called "splitters" on the market, much like a power strip for RJ12 connectors. You can then connect both your load balancer and an EL:IN RJ12 simultaneously.
The grid company says the HAN port is activated and it's the P1 push list, but EL:IN still shows no values. What should I do?
Try removing the mains power from the electricity meter and any charger/power supply, so that it is unpowered. Wait 30 seconds and then plug it in again.
Which real-time meter model should I get if I also want to use a load balancer?
Both EL:IN RJ12 and EL:IN RJ45 can be combined with a load balancer. Choose the model that matches the port on your electricity meter. Our advice is to buy a splitter for the same port. You connect the splitter to your electricity meter, and then connect the load balancer and your EL:IN (RJ12 or RJ45) to separate outlets on the splitter.
